You know what's so cool about us?

other than the fact that, despite our "disallowance" over two years, we're still together?
other than the fact that we're so comfortable with just about anything and everything?
other than the fact that we've chosen to survive through our misunderstandings?

What's so cool about us, is....

We have dreams.

We have dreams that we share in.
Over the past month, i've realized how important it is for us to have dreams.
It gives us something to work towards,
something to look forward to....

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know what I have planned for you," says the Lord.
"I have plans to prosper you, not to harm you.
I have plans to give you a future filled with hope."

Our future... i like that --
Our future...
The Lord still has plans for us yet!

Thinking about it, our past....
It's been two years, already...
Many would say that 2 years is a long time.
I agree that a lot can happen in two years,
like a lot has happened with us over the past two years --
good and bad.

But...
I don't think it's a long time.
It's never...felt like that.
...and i'm betting that's you've never felt that either.

You know why?
It's because we're always growing...
Growing to learn of ourselves and eachother as each day,
each week,
each month passes by.
Learning about how to love eachother,
and growing in that love...

A relationship like ours -- between two people our age -- is rare.
It's rare because we've worked on it, willingly...

Our love not only encompasses the feelings we share,
not only the choice that we've made in eachother...
It now encompasses the dreams that we share.
Not dreams that you have, or that i have --
dreams that we share,
dreams that we can build the coming years upon.

Yes, it's been quite a journey, hasn't it been?
Filled with love and affection and understanding through the good times we've shared.
Yes, we've gone through our rough journeys, too.
But God never said that love was easy the whole way through.
Things like patience and kindness aren't easy.
Conflicts aren't desirable, but are unavoidable.
But to paraphrase [Phil 4:13]....

We can do all things, through Christ who strengthens us.

Let's dream.
Together.
